Director of Outreach
Shelby Williams is a 16-year-old Senior, student activist, and aspiring politician. After attending her first protest, the 2017 Women’s March, at 12 years old, she recognized the power of people coming together to fight for a cause about which they are passionate. Since then, she has protested against gun violence, climate change, and police brutality. She loves helping the people in her community and calling out injustice through her journalism and on social media platforms. In the summer and fall of 2020, she served as an Ambassador Fellow for Michelle Obama’s organization When We All Vote, through which she has campaigned for a more representative democracy by speaking at the United State of Young Women Virtual Summit and a Voter Literacy Summit for UPenn’s Civic Engagement Summer Program, which she organized. In her free time, Shelby enjoys playing lacrosse, watching Ted-Ed videos with her family, and hanging out with her cat.
