These are personal narratives from those who have struggled with their own mental health. This page is not to expose nor to scare anyone, but instead to share real experiences of people across the world and facilitate discussion to ensure that as many people as possible feel comfortable asking for help.
Speaking out about these issues is a privilege, and we at Redefy recognize that so many teenagers across the world don't have access to mental health resources, making suicide, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addiction, and anything else people struggle with a class issue. We also recognize that the struggle with mental health is even more difficult for marginalized communities, for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ teenagers, additionally making it an issue rooted in racial and sexual inequities. If you are struggling with any aspect of your mental health, though, there are hotlines that you can access here, here, and here. This is simply a bare minimum, but we will continue working and fighting to create a world and a system in which everyone is able to speak up and get the help they need.
