With a team of fellow podcasters and editors, the Director of Podcasts will manage our weekly Podcast, The Redefy Radio. This will require organizing one episode to be recorded, edited, and published each week, with a variety of guests, through our platform, Anchor. Each episode will address issues for which Redefy members have demonstrated passion, generally working towards combatting the inequities within our local, national, and global communities.
In doing so, the Director of Podcasts will make connections across Redefy's network, working closely with the Director of Journalism and the Director of Social Media, as well as gain invaluable experience in managing a podcast and leading a team.
The Director of Podcasts must be able to commit 4-6 hours each week to this work. We urge you to consider the time, effort, passion, and knowledge that you might dedicate to the position before applying.
Redefy is an international by-youth, for-youth non-profit that seeks to empower schools and communities with the resources to become more inclusive and equitable. We accomplish this 4 ways: journalism, resource creation, chapters, and campaigns. Redefy's journalism empowers a diverse cohort of writers and editors to comment or report on current events, social justice issues, and problems they have witnessed or encountered as members of marginalized groups. Our social media team creates resources for young people looking to learn about the issues and get involved in creating change for our social medias and website. Redefy mobilizes our international web of school, community, statewide, or national chapters to create local movements for social equity. Finally, as a full team, we launch large-scale campaigns focused on solving singular social justice issues.
With ever growing numbers of youth looking to get involved in activism and changemaking, it has become increasingly important that Redefy shares important information through a variety of platforms. As such, we are looking for a Director of Podcasts who will dedicate their time to organizing and hosting a weekly podcast.
Application due July 13th, 2021.
